Greenzie had an incredible experience at the 2019 GIE+Expo! The Green Industry and Equipment Expo is the biggest event of the year for our industry, held in Louisville, Kentucky. We had the opportunity to showcase how the Greenzie Kit works via a great demo video to conference attendees, and it was thrilling to see their excitement about us building something they really need.

Big problems landscapers are facing

When talking with convention attendees, it was confirmed that the problems we’re trying to solve are at the forefront of their minds. The labor shortage is real y’all. Landscapers everywhere are struggling to find enough crew members to complete their jobs. We came away from the conference encouraged that our solution can make a real positive difference in people's lives.

Not just a day conference

Our whole trip (day and night) was full of great connections and learning. We were able to bring along our “robotic worker from the future”, who was a huge hit with young families and gave us a great introduction to talk about what Greenzie can do. We also co-hosted a fantastic happy hour at 4th Street Live with Swift Straw and SingleOps, and met some key players in the space while enjoying sweet tunes from Easton Corbin.

Shoutouts and thank you’s

We we say it’s the biggest conference, we mean it’s massive. It’s comprised of lots and lots of big exhibition spaces and equipment inside the giant conference hall, and an even bigger outdoor area where people can demo and test/ride equipment. We met some incredible landscapers, owner/operators, manufactures and companies at GIE, and we want to give a special thank you to the Swift Straw team who let us post up in the booth and show off the Greenzie product.

Go robotics!

We’re passionate about using robotics to solve problems, so it was exciting for us to see other companies using robotics at GIE too! As the year progresses and we head into the next cutting season, we know that robots will become increasingly important to the industry and we’re glad to be at the forefront. Get ready for 2020, come find us at a booth outside!
